Taniqua Huguley ’15, M’17

Taniqua graduated from Trinity in 2015 with a degree in Sociology. During her time at Trinity she was highly involved with both the Trinity College and Hartford community. Taniqua was the President for Trinity College Black Women’s Organization for three consecutive years. She was a member of the Praxis, Trinity’s community service residence hall in which she became involved with the Girl Scouts of CT. Taniqua was eager to become acquainted with the youth in Hartford. As a sophomore she founded two mentoring programs that provided both social and academic resources for students in local Hartford schools.  She also served as the Senior Intern for Admissions Multicultural Recruitment Team during her junior and senior year. Taniqua was also a Student Worker in the Alumni Relations Office and a Student Alumni Ambassador. In 2013 she became member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in which she held the positions as the Fundraising Chair and the Vice President.  In December 2014 Taniqua became the Event Coordinator for Small Business Night Out (SBNO), a networking company that aims to connect community members, business owners, and other professionals with unique opportunities to strategically work to revitalize business in Hartford. In May 2015 Taniqua graduated from Trinity College where she studied Sociology and Legal Studies. She received faculty honors and The National Alumni Association Senior Achievement Award. Trinity granted Taniqua the great opportunity to return to Trinity College as a Trinsition Fellow for the new Bantam Network program designed for first year students. Taniqua is also pursuing her Master’s in Public Policy.
