
William R. Barnett, Ph.D.
Director of Graduate Studies
Appointed as Director of Graduate Studies on July 6, 2011, Dr. Barnett brings college teaching, administrative, and program development experience to the position.
Prior to coming to Trinity College, Dr. Barnett taught religious studies at
Le Moyne College (Syracuse, NY) for 28 years. During that time, he also served as Academic Vice President and was responsible for planning and implementing graduate degree programs in business administration, education, and physician assistant studies.
Dr. Barnett’s has written scholarly articles and papers in American religious history and thought, religion and American politics, religion and science, and 19th-century Christian theology. In addition, he served as co-principal investigator for
Contemporary Catholic Trends, a social science research project involving Le Moyne College faculty and
IBPOPZogby International. More recently, he has operated his own copywriting and consulting business, helping not-for-profit organizations and businesses improve their communications and marketing.
