A number of programs provide support for faculty development, research, and travel.  

Research Grants for Faculty and Students Administered by the Faculty Research Committee

The Faculty Research Committee administers research expense grants, as well as grants to enable faculty to provide supervised research opportunities for undergraduates, and for students to conduct research projects they have initiated.  The committee also provides completion grants to aid faculty with publication expenses and incidental research costs when no other funds are available.

Dean of Faculty Support for Faculty and Students to Travel to Academic Conferences

The Dean of Faculty supports faculty and student travel to academic conferences.  More information can be found here.

Faculty Grants and Sponsored Research

The Office of Faculty Grants and Sponsored Research provides information and assistance to Trinity faculty members in securing external funding and is responsible for processing and monitoring faculty-initiated grants proposals. 

Faculty Development Assistance Fund

The Dean's Faculty Development Assistance Fund is designed to support faculty who are seeking to further develop their skills and experience in pedagogy, administration, and leadership.  More information can be found here

Faculty Event Fund

The Dean’s Faculty Event Fund welcomes applications from faculty members to support events that demonstrate clear educational value and are open to the greater Hartford community.  More information can be found here.

Institutional Review Board

The Trinity College Institutional Review Board (IRB) reviews research involving human participants that is led by Trinity faculty, staff, students, or guests, or is conducted on our campus, or uses college data.
