Independent Explorations

#3730 Great Collections: Museums of Florence is an Elderhostel program with a difference. It offers the same caliber of expert lectures and on-site visits, but blends them with a series of independent ‘self-guided visits’ (in which participants are equipped with thorough, written guide materials and left to explore areas of particular personal interest at their own pace), and ‘sign-up walks,’ illustrative neighborhood strolls that are optional. In fact, Independent Explorations is geared to flexibility and choice: the omission of arrival/departure transfers allows maximum travel convenience, while the inclusion of only three meals lets you determine the type of meals or what time – and affords ample opportunity to sample Florence’s wonderful eating establishments (for which a comprehensive list is provided.)

Intergenerational

Share your love of learning with a young relative or friend as you explore Italy. Learn together during interactive lectures and field trips, and apart during age-specific activities. You'll share an experience that bridges generations, opening doors to discovery and friendship.
