As a liberal arts college located within Connecticut’s capital city, the College, Trinity offers several ways for you to increase your knowledge and understanding without enrolling in a formal degree program.
The Academy of Lifelong Learning provides opportunities for adults to enrich their lives through classes that cover a wide range of stimulating topics. Courses are conveniently scheduled in the late afternoon and early evening and are taught by current and former members of the Trinity faculty.
Gateway to the Humanities is a Trinity program that, in conjunction with Bard College, offers courses to area residents free of charge. The Gateway program is designed to eliminate some of the financial barriers to higher education and includes areas of study in literature, philosophy, and history.
Since 1983, Trinity has supported Elderhostel Programs that focus on the art and culture of the Mediterranean. Founded in Rome, the program now offers 15 different educational journeys in cities throughout Italy and France. Courses last from 7 to 17 days and are a combination of classroom lectures and field trips.
