Global Learning Sites: Paris, overview

Paris, the City of Light, is the world city par excellence and the paragon of urban living. Students in the Trinity Paris Program study the history, culture, and expression of France through their experience of the city and its mode of living, as well as through academic examination of its institutions and the past embodied in its art, architecture, and literature.

Paris also provides an excellent vantage point from which to study the history, politics, culture, and economy of Europe, as well as the European Union.

The Trinity College Paris Program offers courses approved as a regular part of the Trinity undergraduate curriculum. For these courses, students receive Trinity in-residence credits. Most Trinity in-residence credit courses are taught in English. However, French language and literature courses, the core course and special tutorials will be given in French.
