Love at First Sight: Sequence Recognition in Biology

Recognition of specific genetic sequences plays a major role in biology. This talk will discuss the universality of this phenomenon and its role in splicing and RNA interference (RNAi). The role of techniques from physical sciences in biology will be highlighted.
