Laboratory Instructor in Physics
The Department of Physics at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut invites applications for the position of laboratory instructor beginning in the Fall 2008 semester. Candidates should have an advanced degree (masters or Ph.D.) in physics or a closely related field by the time of the appointment, and a demonstrated interest and ability in teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the educational mission of the Department by teaching laboratories in our introductory undergraduate courses and contributing to the continued innovation and development in these courses. Duties for the position include working closely with the Physics Department faculty, giving short laboratory lectures, supervising student work in the laboratory, overseeing and training student teaching assistants, and grading laboratory assignments.
