Policy
The Registrar's Office schedules all classroom space (day and evening) when classes are in session during the academic year. The Calendar Office reserves classroom space (day and evening) during weekends, vacation and summer. The only exceptions to this policy are the Life Science and McCook Auditoriums and Seabury N217 which are scheduled by the Calendar Office after 4 p.m.
Requesting a Classroom Before the Term Begins
Prior to the beginning of each term, all classroom space for both day and evening classes is scheduled by the Registrar's Office and published in the TCOnline class schedule as well as in the August and January editions of the Schedule of Classes. In April and October, classroom assignment forms are sent to faculty members so that they can communicate any unique classroom requirements (e.g. VCR, MAC or PC projection, seminar tables) for the upcoming term.
Requesting a Classroom After the Term Begins
After the term begins, all requests for use of classroom space in the evening (Monday - Friday) are made through the Registrar's Office (with the exception of Life Science and McCook auditoriums, which are reserved by the Calendar Office after 4 p.m.). Teaching Assistants should address their requests for rooms to the Registrar's Office as soon as possible.
Please contact Kate McGlew at extension 2116 with questions regarding the classroom request procedure.
