Learning Goals

  1. Demonstrate familiarity with different disciplinary approaches to global studies. 
  2. Demonstrate depth of knowledge about one or more world regions.
  3. Frame and conduct research using appropriate disciplinary approaches and considering cultural context.
  4. Develop meaningful written arguments based on effective use of ideas and diverse types of evidence (e.g., statistical, archival, ethnographic, oral, artistic, literary, visual, popular culture).
  5. Express ideas clearly, articulately, and persuasively in oral rhetoric in a variety of settings (informed conversations, classroom debate, formal presentations). 
  6. Achieve cultural competency through study abroad and the study of language.
