French Club's Spring 2014 Trip to Montréal:
On April 11-13th, 2014, a group of French students went to Montréal
for a week-end. They stayed in the old part of the city called "le
Vieux-Montréal", a very touristic neighborhood that carries the beauty and
traces of its rich historical past. Students were able to see the Basilique
Notre-Dame after which they ventured in the Latin Quarter to finally visit art
museums such as the Musée des Beaux-Arts, near McGill University and the Museum
of Modern art on the fancy Place des Arts. The week-end was a combination of
"Flaneries" in the East part of town (the French speaking part!),
museum visits, French restaurant tastings and finally a unique experience from
Quebec called "cabane à sucre", the local brunch.
