Are there any entrance requirements?
No, we do not require SAT scores or an associate’s degree. Students transferring in less than six courses will be required to take a writing proficiency exam.
Do I need a minimum GPA?
It would be helpful to have a 3.0 or above, but each applicant is reviewed on an individual basis.
May I transfer credits from previous colleges?
You may transfer up to 18 courses in the liberal arts or sciences from other accredited colleges.
Do I have to be a full-time student?
You may be full-time or part-time depending on your needs. Students interested in federal aid must be enrolled in at least two courses per semester. Foreign students must carry a full course load of four courses.
Will I have an academic advisor?
You will be assigned an IDP faculty advisor, and a peer advisor. The director is also an academic advisor.
May I use the campus facilities?
IDP students are considered full-fledged students. All of the campus facilities, including the library, computing center, math and writing centers, and more are open to IDP students.
Will I be allowed to join campus organizations?
Yes, many IDP students get involved with student organizations. We also invite you to become a member of the IDPA, our student organization.
Will I have to live on campus?
There is no campus housing for adult students.
How can I receive an application?
Interested candidates can request an IDP brochure and College Bulletin. After you have gone over the materials, you will schedule a preliminary interview with Denise Best, Director. You will receive application materials at the interview.
