Graduate Studies students are required to take advantage of a Trinity College e-mail account, which is available at no cost.  Admission to the Graduate Studies Program entitles students to electronic access to inter-College information on special events, announcements, opportunities, and postings.  A Trinity account is also often required for many graduate classes where “Blackboard” is used by faculty to convey essential course information, required assignments, and to communicate with all enrolled students.

In general, teaching and learning at Trinity College are supported by state-of-the-art communication and computing services.  This information is  provided on the Computing Center’s Web site, which is continually updated.

Most of the College’s shared academic computing facilities are located in the Library and Information Technology Center (LITC) at the center of campus.  In LITC’s shared facilities, you will find Macintosh and PC-compatible computers equipped with word processing, spreadsheet, and statistical analysis packages and other resources. In addition, the College owns and operates a collection of Sun UNIX workstations located in the Mathematics, Computing, and Engineering Center (MCEC).  These machines are used for many purposes, including programming, statistical analysis, and graphics. 

The Student Help Desk is located on the B floor of LITC at the bottom of the grand staircase and provides both application and  network support for the student body.

All College computers are connected to a high-speed campus-wide network.  The campus network is, in turn, connected to the Internet.  Through our network, campus users can surf the Web, move files, send mail, or initiate logons to thousands of hosts all over the world.  Wireless access also exists on campus to give students with laptops anywhere/anytime connectivity.
