Pay careful attention to the deadline dates and requirements detailed below.  If you miss a deadline or your Interfolio file is incomplete, the HPAC will not be able to prepare a Committee Letter for you.

January 23, 2014

  • Attend the MANDATORY meeting for students considering applying for Fall 2014 entrance to a health professions program.

NOTE: Seniors who wish to have a Committee Letter, regardless of when they plan to apply, MUST attend this meeting

DEADLINE for establishing your HPAC Interfolio Account.

March 14, 2014

  • Submit an official request for a Letter of Evaluation to Professor William Church via e-mail at william.church@trincoll.edu (cc'ed to Kathy Mallinson).

The HPAC WILL NOT prepare a Committee Letter for individuals who have not adhered to this timeline.

April 4, 2014

Your Interfolio account must contain all of the following materials:   

1.) Letters of Reccommendation (minimum of 3) - click on below document for guidelines

  • Two letters MUST be from Trinity SCIENCE faculty.
  • One letter MUST be from a NON-SCIENCE faculty.
  • IMPORTANT: It is your responsibility to check the status and content of your Interfolio account and to remind writers of your deadline. Writers must send recommendations directly to Interfolio.

April 4, 2014

Sign and deliver two copies of the HPAC Letter of Evaluation form to Kathy Mallinson (CCB 107, Science Commons).

  • The form can be found here:HPAC_Committee_Letterhead.docHPAC_Committee_Letterhead.doc

  • On both copies of the form, indicate whether you wish the Committee Letter to be Confidential or Non-Confidential by signing your name and writing the date in the appropriate box.

  • Leave the "Name, Class Year and Professional School or Program" lines blank.



Summer 2014

  • Submit completed primary health professions applications to health professions schools.  

  • Submit a copy of your primary application and letter of evaluation request form (AMCAS application) to Kathy Mallinson (kathy.mallinson@trincoll.edu) and 'cc' to Dr. William Church (william.church@trincoll.edu).

  • Submit all secondary applications, fall grades, and summer updates to individual schools.

  • Prepare for interviews.

2014-2015 Academic Year

 Notify HPAC of interviews and acceptances by e-mailing Kathy Mallinson at kathy.mallinson@trincoll.edu.
Monitor the status of your online Interfolio file. It is your responsibility to ensure that all materials are submitted. Check often and carefully before the deadline.
The Chair of the HPAC will notify you after April 7, 2014 if you do not qualify for a Committee Letter.
