AGENCY FUNCTION: Private women’s city club founded in 1925 as an organized center for women’s work, thought, and action, for advancing the interests of women, and for promoting science, literature, and art. INTERN ACTIVITIES: Various projects somewhat dependent on student interests. The internship is designed to introduce interns to the hospitality industry, and the range of membership development, marketing, communications, and special events functions in a private member-owned club. Fieldwork at the Town & County Club is an opportunity to enhance classroom learning by working in a business setting, initiating research projects, and working with marketing professionals. Interest in women’s history is preferred. Computer literacy and some familiarity with website management are preferred.
HOURS PER WEEK: 8-10, lunch or dinner provided.
