AGENCY FUNCTION: The Green Parking Council is a national 501(c)(3) organization providing leadership and oversight for the development and dispersion of green parking practices in and around the parking industry. We develop certification and credentialing programs, open-sourced standards, professional leadership and promote sustainability within the parking and urban development world. Based in Hartford, CT and working internationally, GPC works at the intersection of parking, green building, clean technology, renewable energy, smart grid infrastructure, urban planning and sustainable mobility.
INTERN ACTIVITIES: GPC offers a range of internship
opportunities to self-driven individuals seeking career development. Each GPC
intern works with an internship coordinator to identify an “internship project”
that aligns with their career goals and personal interests. This project is the
focus of the individual’s internship. “Internship projects” are currently
available for the following disciplines: database design and construction,
product and program evaluations, website development, social media growth,
environmental studies, educational outreach, government relations, and business
