The Mayor’s Office provides support to the mayor and his constituencies.
General Departments: Students who are selected to participate will be assigned a specific project compatible with their interests and experience. Please call Ms. McMullen with specific interests.
Mayor’s Office: An immersion into the daily operations of an elected executive official, the internship offers insight into the political aspects of policy implementation. The student will have hands-on experience in Constituent Services and/or Communications: researching policy issues, writing letters on behalf of the mayor and the office, attending mayoral functions, working with other municipal offices, reviewing, filing and processing documents and newspaper articles re constituent and non-constituent issues, attending committee meetings/public hearings, and other related functions.
