AGENCY FUNCTION: Children’s
Hospital. Inpatient, Outpatient and emergency care.
INTERN ACTIVITIES: Interns will work with the Patient and Family Education (PAFE) Coordinator and the PAFE Committee. Project priorities will involve activities related to increasing the quality, success, and visibility of the PAFEC Program. Assist Coordinator in planning, developing, and promoting PAFE programs and materials (including Web-based).
•Assist with health literacy training development
•Organize educational materials
•Attend monthly meetings on Tuesdays from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM (desired but not required)
•Data Collection
•Program implementation
•Assist with focus groups
•Research sources of information
•Assist with health education programs
•Assist with development of education tools for families that address health literacy
•Other related projects
HOURS PER WEEK: Minimum 8 hours
per week.
