INTERN ACTIVITIES: Interns are immersed in the running of a nature center, initially shadowing a teacher/naturalist, then helping to teach. If intern has a background in a nature topic, we might design a program or exhibit around that topic. Interns also help in the office, learning that a nature center is a business with associated tasks, such as bookkeeping, scheduling, marketing, fundraising (through grants and special events).
