September 23, 12:15 p.m.: Information Session at the Career Development Center
September 24, 4:30 p.m.: Information Session at the Career Development Center​

October

October 10:  Registration deadline
October 16:  Competition Kick-off (required for all participants)
Complete individual learning agreements and team registration form, including brief description of your product, idea, or venture


November

Participants and teams develop proposals
Incubation Sessions provide groundwork for proposal materials:  Business Research, Intellectual Property Concerns


December

Proposals due December 1
Proposals are reviewed by a panel of alumni judges with entrepreneurial experience


January

Judges select up to six finalists
Finalists announced
Finalists receive $2,000 each in seed money and are paired with alumni/parent mentors


February

Finalists develop thorough business plans
Finalists build prototypes, conduct pilot studies, convene focus groups, etc., to test and refine the product/idea
Incubation Sessions:  Creating Your Business Plan


March

Business plans are submitted to mentor
Mentor provides feedback
Incubation  Session: “Crafting the Pitch”:  Training in presenting a compelling case for your product/idea to investors and consumers


April

Incubation Sessions covering PowerPoint presentations and public speaking
Final business plans due
Ventures presented at final competition
Judges and audience evaluate presentations and select a winner
Winning team receives $10,000!
