Participants and teams develop proposals

Incubation Sessions provide groundwork for proposal materials:  Business Research, Intellectual Property Concerns


Proposals due December 9

Proposals are reviewed by a panel of alumni judges with entrepreneurial experience


Judges select five finalists

Finalists announced January 13

Finalists receive $2,000 each in seed money and are paired with alumni/parent mentors


Finalists develop thorough business plans

Finalists build prototypes, conduct pilot studies, convene focus groups, etc., to test and refine the product/idea

Incubation Sessions cover advanced topics in business research and writing:  Creating Your Business Plan, Using the Bloomberg Terminal


Business plans are submitted to mentor by March 14

Mentor provides feedback by March 24

Incubation  Session: “Crafting the Pitch”:  Training in presenting a compelling case for your product/idea to investors and consumers


Incubation Session: “Creating the Slides”:  Workshop in advanced PowerPoint techniques

Final business plans due April 7

Ventures presented at final competition April 25

Judges and audience evaluate presentations and select a winner

Winning team receives $10,000!
