For Mentors

The liberal arts tradition at Trinity College cultivates the habits of mind that have launched many a successful entrepreneurial career.  From alumni to faculty, entrepreneurialism is woven into the very fabric of the Trinity experience.

As we launch Trinity’s first Entrepreneurship Competition, the Career Development Center seeks to draw on the rich backgrounds and expertise of alumni and parent entrepreneurs.  If you are a member of the Trinity community with experience in business, entrepreneurship, or start-ups, and would like to work closely with a diverse group of students as they develop and implement an innovative venture, consider volunteering as a team mentor during this year’s competition.

As a mentor, you will be paired with a team of innovative and driven students as they develop a business plan during the spring semester.  Mentors will conference weekly with their teams through telephone or Skype to share insights and offer feedback and advice, and will visit Trinity to work intensively with their teams in person.  Mentors also attend the competition’s final event, when competitors present their final business plans to the greater Trinity community.

If you would like to learn more about the competition, or volunteer as a team mentor, please contact the Career Development Center at (860) 297-2080 or by e-mail to
