Pay careful attention to the deadline dates and requirements detailed below.  If you miss a deadline or your file is incomplete, you will not be allowed to participate in the HPAC Interview process.  The HPAC will not write a Letter of Evaluation for any individual who has not completeed the HPAC Interview process.  

February 6, 2018

  • Attend the REQUIRED meeting for students considering applying for Fall 2019 entrance to a health professions program.

          • Mandatory meeting for all seniors, regardless of when you plan to apply.
          • 7pm in Clement Chemistry Building, room 105

The Health Professions Advisory Committee (HPAC) will present information on the materials you need to submit for your HPAC file to qualify for a Letter of Evaluation.

The HPAC WILL NOT prepare a Committee Letter for individuals who have not adhered to this timeline.

April 2, 2018

  • Two letters MUST be from Trinity SCIENCE faculty.
  • One letter MUST be from a NON-SCIENCE faculty.
  • IMPORTANT: It is your responsibility to check the status and content of your file by contacting Kathy Mallinson and to remind writers of your deadline. Writers must send recommendations directly to Kathy Mallinson as a pdf file.  Letters must be on offiicial Trinity College letterhead and must have an original signature by the letter writer.  Letters not on letterhead or signed will be returned to he the letter writer.

April 6, 2018

Sign and deliver two copies of the HPAC Letter of Evaluation form to Kathy Mallinson (CCB 107, Science Commons).

  • On both copies of the form, indicate whether you wish the Committee Letter to be Confidential or Non-Confidential by signing your name and writing the date in the appropriate box.

  • TYPE your "Name, Class Year and Professional School or Program" in the correct lines on the form.

April/May 2018

Interview with Prof. Church and assigned HPAC member (this will complete your HPAC Application Folder).  These are two separate interviews.  Please contact each individual professor to schedule an interview date and time.

May 11, 2018

  • Final date to be interviewed by a HPAC Member.

Summer 2018

  • Submit completed primary health professions applications to health professions schools.

  • Submit a copy of your primary application and letter of evaluation request form (AMCAS application) to Kathy Mallinson (kathy.mallinson@trincoll.edu) and 'cc' to Dr. William Church (william.church@trincoll.edu).

  • Submit all secondary applications, fall grades, and summer updates to individual schools.

  • Prepare for interviews.

Monitor the status of your online Interfolio file. It is your responsibility to ensure that all materials are submitted. Check often and carefully before the deadline.
