Employers who recruit at Trinity are consistently impressed with the professional experience and job skills documented on the resumes of Trinity interns. Recent studies nationwide show that students with internship experience are more successful finding post-college employment.

Trinity has a centralized Internship Office serving all the needs of prospective and active interns, from finding a placement to securing a faculty sponsor to providing advice and evaluation.

Many departments and programs at the College grant major credit for internships.

While most internships are unpaid work opportunities, some do carry a wage or stipend. Trinity permits interns to be paid if such compensation is offered.

Trinity students may arrange to earn credit for internships completed during the summer, in Hartford or elsewhere.

International internships are increasingly popular and many Trinity students successfully transfer credit from study-abroad programs. Internships are also available at most of Trinity’s own global sites.

On surveys assessing student satisfaction, graduating seniors have consistently given the Internship Program high ratings. Some 250 Trinity students complete an academic internship each school year.
