AGENCY FUNCTION:  Commercial television station

INTERN ACTIVITIES:

 News Department: Assist assignment editors and producers in the newsroom with round calls, story research, setting up interviews and assisting with breaking news; assist reporters and photographers in the field and during live shots; possible writing stories for newscasts.  Internships are available in sports and weather departments, with various related activities.

 Creative Services Department: Assist promotions manager and producers in creating image spots, news series spots, topicals and special projects. Contribute to research, copy ideas, remote and in-house shoots. Observe edit sessions. Assist with writing of bios on news talent. Write voice-over credits. Help in the scheduling and placement of daily promos. Participate in commercial production: logging tapes, assisting with location and studio shoots, creating artcards, writing scripts and viewing post-production aspects of all commercial projects.

HOURS PER WEEK: 8, minimum
