AGENCY FUNCTION: Provides government relations and management services to a wide array of for-profit and not-for-profit clients. Interns will learn the ins and outs of the CT General Assembly from a private sector perspective and will gain a full understanding of the management needs of non-profits.
INTERN ACTIVITIES: Interns will attend Committee meetings, track legislation, attend staff meetings, network with other lobbyists and advocacy organizations, and become involved with other projects as assigned. Interns will also work with staff to implement non-profit association strategic plans. Activities may include planning and attending client events, responding to member concerns/questions, assisting in the development of communication materials for all association activities and other related activities.
HOURS PER WEEK: 15-20
