AGENCY FUNCTION: The Mark Twain House and Museum, a historic house museum, was the primary residence of Mark Twain (Samuel L. Clemens) and the Clemens family from 1874-1891. Twain wrote seven major works while living in his Hartford home, including Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.  The Mark Twain House and Museum offers a full range of educational programs and has an extensive collection of Victorian household furnishings, letters, photographs, books, and Clemens family memorabilia. INTERN ACTIVITIES: Internships are available for various and special projects as needed in the following departments: administrative, collections, development, education, museum shop, photo archives, public information, and visitors’ center. Call for information about specific projects.
