Integrated Internship
An integrated internship is a form of independent study. It enables you to examine a topic which can best be studied through a combination of field work and regular academic work with a faculty supervisor. The field work will be integrated with your academic project by means of the reading and writing you do for the professor. The internship normally earns one course credit.
Exploratory Internship
An exploratory internship is a form of independent study. It enables you to examine a particular interest by working for a semester in a local organization. The emphasis is on the field of experience, which is supplemented by regular academic work with a faculty supervisor. The internship earns one-half credit.
