AGENCY FUNCTION:  Weekly business newspaper serving Greater Hartford

INTERN ACTIVITIES: The Hartford Business Journal seeks interns to help with every aspect of writing, editing and publishing an award-winning newspaper and its online products.
        The experience will include researching compelling stories, copy editing, compiling market data and some administrative work. Interns will also have the opportunity to write stories about money, power, scandal, and ego and take photographs to accompany the pieces. Interns will also have the opportunity to participate in editorial meetings and experience the production process.
        Candidates should have a strong interest in journalism, in business, or in both. No formal reporting experience is needed, but strong writing and editing skills and an eye for detail are necessary. Familiarity with Associated Press style or some reporting experience is a plus. Candidates should be motivated to think critically and independently. A good sense of humor and a strong work ethic bode well in our dynamic office.
