AGENCY:       HARTFORD NEIGHBORHOOD CENTERS

INTERNSHIP CONTACT:  Ms. Cora Mercer, 860-251-6517

 

AGENCY FUNCTION:  Non-profit settlement house organization founded in 1872, serving local residents through programs in youth development, elderly services, basic human needs, workforce development, child development, and summer day camp, among others.

 

INTERN ACTIVITIES:  Assist in youth programs, serving as tutor and/or educational assistant in Youth Outdoor Enrichment and Recreation Program. (Assist in evening Foodshare pantry and assessment of clients in workforce program).

 

HOURS PER WEEK:  10hrs. Please add to previous message hours are Monday and Thursdays 3:00 - 6:00pm and Wednesdays 12:00 - 4:00pm or can tailored hours to college schedule.

 

INTERNSHIP AVAILABLE:  FALL:  Yes;   SPRING:  Yes;   SUMMER:  Yes

 

STIPEND:  $150 per week for 32 weeks
