AGENCY FUNCTION:  Studies all matters relating to women; informs leaders of business, education and government about the nature and scope of sex discrimination; serves as liaison between government and private interest groups concerned with services for women.  Visit www.cga.ct.gov/pcsw for more information.

 

INTERN ACTIVITIES: 

1.       Participate in planning and implementing special events including: Making Women Visible Day and CT Women Entrepreneurs’ Day.

2.       Assist at agency meetings and conferences; assist with mailings.

3.       Conduct research on topics related to women's equality needed to keep PCSW publications up to date.

4.       Assist with legislative efforts, including attending public hearings, tracking bills, research of written testimony.  (spring semester only – during legislative session.)
