AGENCY FUNCTION: Created in 1989, The Governor’s Prevention Partnership is a not-for-profit, statewide partnership between state government and business leaders dedicated to keeping Connecticut’s youth safe, successful and drug-free. Our services, including trainings, technical assistance, materials and anti-drug advertising, support prevention programs that impact more than 100,000 young people annually. INTERN ACTIVITIES: Interns will have hands-on experience in program development, evaluation, research, event planning and policy analysis. Project/assignment areas will be based on intern qualifications and interests. Current projects include media advocacy and public relations, The Connecticut Mentoring Partnership, The CT Coalition to Stop Underage Drinking, The Safe Schools and Communities Coalition, Campus Partnership, Finance and Technology.
HOURS PER WEEK: 10-24 per week; flexible to student schedules
