Students Learn about People, Planning, and Politics
Elizabeth Valenzuela ’17 and Alex Perez ’17 are studying in four international cities this semester as part of the School for International Training’s International Honors Program (IHP). As participants in a program titled “Cities in the 21st Century: People, Planning, and Politics,” these Trinity juniors are spending their spring semester exploring how geography, politics, economics, and culture shape social relations and impact individuals. Commencement 2016
Trinity’s 190th Commencement ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 22. Three distinguished individuals will receive honorary degrees from the College. This year’s Commencement speaker will be William K. Marimow ’69, the Pulitzer Prize-winning editor of The Philadelphia Inquirer. The other honorands will be Michael Peter Conforti ’68, P’16, former director of The Clark Art Institute and a current faculty member of Williams College, and Miriam Colón-Valle, the founder of the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater and a trailblazing stage, film, and television actress. Trinity College Classics Professor Receives Competitive NEH Fellowship
Gary Reger, Hobart Professor of Classical Languages at Trinity College, has received an award of $50,400 from the National Endowment for the Humanities to support a research project that will result in a book that will serve as an introduction to the economic history of the Greek and Roman world, covering the time period of roughly 1200 BCE to 400 CE. Scholarship Donors and Recipients Honored at 17th Annual Scholars Reception
Guest speakers George Kellner ’64 and Sean Khosrowshahi ’10 celebrated with approximately 250 scholarship donors and recipients at the 17th Annual Scholars Reception. Kellner expressed the importance of “making a difference in someone’s life,” and Khosrowshahi, a Presidential Scholar while at Trinity, extended his gratitude. Read more.

Men’s and Women’s Squash Players Receive PostSeason Honors
The Trinity College men’s and women’s squash teams combined to place seven athletes on the College Squash Association (CSA) All-American Team in 2015-2016. Trinity women’s squash senior co-captain Kanzy El Defrawy highlighted the list with her fourth inclusion on the CSA All-American First Team, while sophomore Rick Penders represented Trinity men’s squash on the CSA All-American First Team. Come Back to Campus for Reunion 2016
Alumni from classes ending in 6s and 1s are invited to come back to campus June 10-12, 2016, to reconnect with classmates, reminisce about their College days, and revel in the festivities ’neath the elms.
