Ron Joyce is the Vice President for Advancement at Trinity College, Hartford, CT, a role he has held since 2005.  His responsibilities include Development, Alumni Affairs, Communications and Community Relations.  He was previously Senior Vice President for Development at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

During his nearly 34 years in advancement, Joyce has served in a variety of roles in annual giving, planned giving, and campaign development, as well as marketing and public relations.  His assignments have included vice presidencies at Colgate University, Bates College, and the Albany Medical Center, and as director of development at Grinnell College.

Joyce has extensive experience in comprehensive campaigns, having managed campaigns ranging from $50 million to $400 million.  The Cornerstone Campaign for Trinity, a $350 million fundraising effort that was publically launched in October 2007, is his 9th campaign.

Joyce has an undergraduate degree from Colgate University and served in the United States Marine Corps for three years.  He is currently President of Colgate’s Alumni Corporation Board of Directors.  Joyce and his wife of 34 years have three grown children and two grandchildren.
