The Trinity College Board of Fellows has a distinguished history. Established in 1845 to oversee study and discipline, it served as the College's examining body, ensuring that our high aspirations for academic accomplishment were realized. In the late 1800's the Board launched Trinity's first comprehensive fund-raising campaign. In 1968 the Board proposed the admission of women. Throughout the 1980's Board members helped to develop policies on matters of great importance to residential life at the College.

In January 1998, the Board of Trustees approved a new structure and function for the Board of Fellows, one that will serve us well in the crucial years ahead. At meetings, held twice a year, the Board of Fellows grapples with pressing issues that face the administration and the trustees as they steer the College into the next century.
