Larry Dow - Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid
Larry Dow is Trinity’s Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid. A native of Hanover, New Hampshire, he joined Trinity’s admissions office upon his graduation from the College in 1973. Dow was named to his current post after serving as Director of Admissions for three years. He oversees a professional staff of eight admissions officers and three financial aid officers.
"Larry is not only a loyal Trinity alumnus but also a highly respected professional in the admissions field," said former Trinity College President Evan S. Dobelle when Dow’s appointment was announced. Dobelle added, "Trinity would not be in a position to boast a 51 percent increase in applications over the last four years—and many other substantial gains—were it not for the role he has played on the Admissions team."
Dow’s primary responsibilities include the recruitment, selection, and enrollment of new students and the administration of financial assistance to both new and currently enrolled students. Each year, in an effort to attract to Trinity the most academically able, personally talented, and diverse student body possible, he and his staff are in contact with thousands of prospective students and their families from across the country and throughout the world.
