Scott Reynolds - Secretary of the College
Scott W. Reynolds '63 is the Secretary of the College at Trinity. He works closely with the board of trustees, the trustee council, and the board of fellows. Reynolds oversees various special projects and maintains relationships with numerous constituencies, including those involved in alumni and development projects. As an undergraduate at Trinity, he was a member of Pi Gamma Mu (national social science honor society), Medusa (senior honor society), and Cerberus (sophomore honor society). Reynolds served as president of Theta Xi fraternity and as manager of the freshman basketball and varsity lacrosse teams. He also wrote for the Trinity Tripod.
Reynolds graduated from Harvard Business School in 1965. His long involvement with the College as an alumni volunteer includes presidency of the New York Alumni Association, service on Board of Fellows and on the National Alumni Association. Before joining Trinity' administration as special assistant to the president in 1996, Reynolds was a member of the Board of Trustees and Secretary of the Board.
After service as a captain in the U.S. Army, where he held various positions in resource analysis in the Pentagon for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Chief of Staff of the Army, Reynolds began a 27-year career at Bankers Trust, mainly in money-market, wholesale-banking, and corporate-planning positions. Reynolds was the founding president of BT Securities and a director of the bank. His first position in higher education was as Assistant to the President at Saint Peter's College in Jersey City, New Jersey, a position he held from 1994 to 1996.
Reynolds now resides in West Hartford with his wife, Peggy. They have three children, the eldest of whom is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Trinity.
