Seating All Commencement guests are asked to be seated by 10:30 a.m., as the processional begins at 10:50 a.m. Seating will open at 9:00 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Any signs placed on seats prior to 9:00 a.m. will be removed. Graduates and families can invite an unlimited number of guests if the ceremony is held on the Quadrangle. If the ceremony is held inside due to extreme weather condition, students are limited to FOUR guests per graduate. Please review the In the Event of Inclement/Extreme Weather section. Guests and graduates are asked to turn off cellular phones during the ceremony. Use of cellular phones during the ceremony, including the procession, is disruptive to guests, graduates, and ceremony participants.
