All Commencement guests are asked to be seated by 10:30 a.m., as the processional begins at 10:50 a.m. Seating will open at 9:00 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Any signs placed on seats prior to 9:00 a.m. will be removed. Graduates and families can invite an unlimited number of guests if the ceremony is held on the Quadrangle. If the ceremony is held inside due to extreme weather condition, students are limited to FOUR guests per graduate. Please review the In the Event of Inclement/Extreme Weather section. Guests and graduates are asked to turn off cellular phones during the ceremony. Use of cellular phones during the ceremony, including the procession, is disruptive to guests, graduates, and ceremony participants.
Graduates are not limited in the number of guests they can invite if the Commencement ceremony is held on the Quadrangle. Only in the case of extreme weather, defined as conditions that threaten personal safety (such as a severe thunderstorm), will the ceremony be held in the Koeppel Community Sports Center. If the ceremony is moved inside, seating will be limited to FOUR guests per graduate. Extreme weather tickets will be distributed at Senior Salute on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Please review the In the Event of Inclement/Extreme Weather section.
The following locations will be available for friends and family members who do not have tickets to view the ceremony in the case of extreme weather:
Cinestudio, Clement Chemistry Building
McCook Auditorium, McCook Academic Building
Goodwin Theater, Austin Arts Center
Washington Room, Mather Hall, second floor
