Vice President for Finance and Operations and Treasurer
Paul Mutone has joined Trinity College as Vice President for Finance and Operations and Treasurer, effective October 1, 2008. A member of the College’s senior leadership, Mutone is responsible for the Trinity’s operating and capital budgets, human resources, risk management, student financial services, purchasing, payroll and legal affairs. His responsibilities also include oversight for facilities and information technology. He comes to Trinity from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, where he served as Vice President for Business and Financial Affairs.
During his approximately 20 years in finance, Mutone has worked in both higher education and the private sector. Prior to Marist, he was Associate Vice President and Controller at Vassar College, where he served for 16 years and played a major role in budget planning and development, among other areas. Before joining Vassar, Mutone was the supervising senior auditor at KPMG Peat Marwick in Stamford, CT.
Mutone earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1985 from Pace University. A native of New York, Mutone is married with three children.
