Shawn T. Wooden ’91

Shawn T. Wooden earned a B.A. in history from Trinity and a J.D. from New York University School of Law. He is a partner in the private equity and investment funds practice of the law firm Day Pitney LLP, practicing investment, general corporate, and securities law. Wooden, who served as president of the Hartford City Council from 2012 to 2015, also has served as a special adviser for corporate transactions in the AFL-CIO’s Office of Investment in Washington, D.C.

A trustee since 2012, Wooden has served on Trinity’s Board of Fellows and the National Alumni Association Executive Committee. In 2006, he was awarded Trinity’s Alumni Medal for Excellence. Wooden serves on the Governance Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee.

Wooden and his wife, Biree Andemariam, live in Hartford, Connecticut, and have two children.
