Academy of Lifelong Learning Class, Cinestudio, Continue Tonight as Scheduled
The Trinity College campus is fully reopened following a partial evacuation of the campus earlier today, March 18, due to a gas leak. Nearly all of Trinity’s students are gone this week for spring break but some activities are continuing as usual.

This evening’s Academy of Lifelong Learning class at 7:00 p.m. will be held as usual, and the Cinestudio film scheduled for 7:30 will be screened as planned.

The leak was caused late morning when a gas pipe was hit by machinery during outdoor construction work taking place on campus. The Hartford Fire Department evacuated three campus buildings and closed Summit Street in the affected area. The evacuation ended shortly before 1:00 p.m. and CNG has been rerouting the affected gas supplies to auxiliary lines. The puncture is expected to be repaired by the end of the day.
