Invisible Women: The Femicide in Juárez
What: Commemorating International Human Rights Day, December 10, Trinity College will host events to examine the widespread killing of women in the border town of Juárez, Mexico. This event is co-sponsored by the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Program, the Latin American and Caribbean Studies Program, the Modern Languages & Literature program, and PRESHCO at Trinity College.

Photo Exhibit: “Femicide in Ciudad Juárez” (Amnesty International traveling exhibit)
When: Tuesday, December 4 – Monday December 10
Where: Mather Art Space, 2nd floor, on the Trinity College campus
Panel Discussion with Veronica Leyva, Juárez activist, Mexico Solidarity Network, and Melissa Wright, Associate Professor of Geography, Pennsylvania State University (reception immediately following)
When: Tuesday, December 4 ~ 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Where: Terrace Rooms B & C, Mather Hall on the Trinity College campus
Film Screening ~ On the Edge: The Femicide in Ciudad Juárez
Closing Remarks by Prof. Alicia Schmidt Camacho, American Studies, Yale University
When: Thursday, December 6 ~ 7 p.m.
Where: McCook Auditorium on the Trinity College campus
