Rage and Reason: Black Women Speak Out Against Oppression

What: T. Denean Sharpley-Whiting, Ph.D., professor of French and Italian at Vanderbilt, will give a talk entitled "From Imus to Industry: How Popular Culture, Patriarchy & Payola Profit from Women."  Sponsors for the first lecture include Student Government Association, The Temple of Hip Hop, Multicultural Affairs, Imani/Trinity College Black Women’s Organization, and the Women & Gender Resource Action Center.

When: Friday, November 16 ~ 4 p.m.

Where: Rittenberg Lounge on the Trinity College campus
