What: The Trinity College Arts Department presents INSPIRIT, an evening of young African-American choreographers' contemporary dance works imbued with spiritual exuberance, ancestral strength and startling perception - from postmodern to traditional West African dance and from ballet to yoga. INSPIRIT was founded in 2000 by Christal Brown with the sole purpose of bringing together and showcasing young African-American female artists and choreographers. Since it’s inception, INSPIRIT has performed at the Lincoln Theater of Washington DC, Aaron Davis Hall in Harlem NY, Dance Place in Washington DC, and has been in Residency at Greenhouse in Litchfied CT. This event is open to the public and free with a Trinity College ID.
