Five Groups of Students will make Presentations
What: The Summer Research Program at Trinity will end its 2009 session with presentations by five groups of students. The nine-week program is sponsored by Trinity’s Science Center.
When: Tuesday, July 14 at 12:30 p.m.
Where: The Life Science Center Auditorium on the Trinity campus, 300 Summit Street, Hartford.
Background: Students at Trinity have been conducting research for the past eight weeks under the auspices of the Science Center. The student presenters and the title of their research are:
• Andrew Williamson ’10, and Tiffany Damiani ’12: “Bacterial Interference: A study of the normal flora in the upper respiratory tract.”
• Andrew Janiga ’11, and Joseph Lim ’12: “Mapping the type I collagen binding site on osteocalcin.”
• Antonio Alcorn and Foster Nichols: “Humanitarian FOSS Project: We POSIT; a better mouse trap.”
• Lorenzo Sewanan ’12, and Kevin Huang ’12: “Digital signal processing: Point of gaze, blood pressure waveform, and respiration classification.”
• Vicky Done ’11: “A tale of two rivers: A comprehensive water quality comparison of the North and South branches of the Park River Watershed.”
