Senior Class Speaker

Dear Seniors,
Commencement exercises allow for a graduating senior to make a brief address during the ceremony.  The senior speaker is selected by a committee of faculty, administrators, and students that reviews submitted speeches, listens to the finalists present their respective speeches and assists with any oratory preparation for commencement.
If you are interested in being the senior class speaker at commencement, you are asked to submit a draft of your proposed speech by the close of the day on March 26, 2018.  There is no specific topic for the speech; however, the speech should be no longer than 5 minutes and must be appropriate for the occasion.  You may email your submissions to
The selection committee will begin to review submitted drafts after the submission period is over and will follow-up directly with each senior who submits a draft.

Thank you.
